Day Five

OYO! We went to the local Hyde Park Ward. The chapel was different than any chapels in Utah. There was actually a theme of squares used throughout…in the carpet, the pulpit, window coverings, etc. Later Tim and I went to Hyde Park. We love how the people gather and enjoy the park…and were surprised by how quiet and peaceful it was there for being such a huge place. We both loved the Peter Pan statue and took the opportunity to sketch some of it to truly appreciate it. We took the Flower Walk and played with the squirrels.

Families fed the ducks, pigeons and swans.

Hyde Park. Gorgeous!
This walkway pops out in this lush green scenery.

Peter Pan Statue. Capturing details of this
statue led to finding many stories inside this
one statue. These two fairies and playing
with the squirels. We sketched this statue also.

This is the tile pattern on the steps
to the Prince Alert Memorial. I love the
colors and pattern -- very modern.Posted by Picasa
