Museums: Day Two

Today we visited the V&A, Science and Natural History Museum. Our goal throughout the day was to find specific details and create a textile pattern inspired by what we saw. Finding details makes old art interesting and new are more appreciated. Free time was spend wandering, getting lost and eating at Bella Italia. Yum! My first ATM experience was interesting. It included a homeless man sitting in front begging me for a pence. Scary. Turned out to be a nice guy, actually. I find the tie trend for men to be interesting. They shorten their ties to about six inches. Kewl!

Victoria & Albert Museum
'Fashion' was my favorite exhibit. It was interesting focusing in on the details of the dresses. I love this silk bustle.

Green Gardens
There are rows and rows of purple hydrangeas.

Big Wheel
I like wheels. This one is huge. Can I get the truck that goes with it???

Science Museum
This was my favorite exhibit teaching us about Energy. The buildings would pop up out of the ground and make new cityscapes.

Natural History Museum
A stack of newspapers. This is my favorite detail of the day. Especially the newspaper that is slightly out of place near the bottom.
